  • Served as interim CHRO
  • Built a more robust interviewing and onboarding process and worked closely with a staffing agency to improve the relationship
  • Adjusted starting pay for manufacturing floor workers
  • Conducted supervisor/mentor training to improve communications and get a better pulse on employee engagement
  • Conducted a thorough performance and talent planning process along with goal setting for the entire organization

Results

  • Filled all key open positions including 2 plant managers, 2 production managers, head of environment and safety, and second shift furnace operators
  • Reduced the number of open positions from 45 to 19
  • The company now has a new and more robust talent planning, performance management, and goal setting process
