- Served as interim CHRO
- Built a more robust interviewing and onboarding process and worked closely with a staffing agency to improve the relationship
- Adjusted starting pay for manufacturing floor workers
- Conducted supervisor/mentor training to improve communications and get a better pulse on employee engagement
- Conducted a thorough performance and talent planning process along with goal setting for the entire organization
Results
- Filled all key open positions including 2 plant managers, 2 production managers, head of environment and safety, and second shift furnace operators
- Reduced the number of open positions from 45 to 19
- The company now has a new and more robust talent planning, performance management, and goal setting process
