James Ferrara

James Ferrara is an Operating Finance Director in the Trailblazers offering at Beckway. He has extensive experience with financial modeling and analysis and partnering with business leaders to develop strategic plans and budgets.

Prior to joining Beckway, James had various roles in corporate finance across multiple industries. His most recent role was as a  FP&A Manager at Boulder Scientific Company, a specialty chemical manufacturer, where he built out the finance function post PE acquisition. He developed internal and external reporting packages including financial for the board deck, formalized the annual budgeting process, and built models for: the 5-yr strategic plan, a rolling forecast, and a 13-week cash forecast.

James began his career in finance in Equity Research, first at Morgan Stanley, and then at Virtua Research primarily covering the healthcare sector. He led a team of analysts to build financial models of micro to mid cap healthcare companies traded on global exchanges using both GAAP and IFRS accounting standards. Before finance, James worked as a pharmaceutical R&D chemist.

James earned a BA in Biochemistry and a MBA with a finance focus, both at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
